About me
Hi, I’m Tyler. I have celiac disease, and I eat my way around Walt Disney World so you know where it’s safe to eat before you get there.
Why I started this
I was diagnosed with celiac disease at 11, and since my family visited the parks often, I learned fast what it means to eat at Disney with celiac. In those early trips, figuring out what I could and couldn’t eat was tricky, and a lot of meals came with more questions than answers.
Over the years, Disney has made so many great changes for guests with food allergies, and eating in the parks looks completely different now. I started Gluten-Free on Main Street to document what it’s really like to eat at Disney with celiac today, one restaurant and one snack at a time.
Most gluten-free lists tell you a restaurant has gluten-free options. What I wanted to know was whether it’s actually safe for a celiac, and whether the food is any good. That’s what every guide here tries to answer.
How I review
- Every review is first-hand: I ate there, I asked the questions, and the photos are mine.
- I pay for my own meals. Restaurants don’t know I’m reviewing them.
- Each guide gets a safety verdict and a separate taste rating. Here’s how I rate.
- I go back and update guides, so check the “Last visited” date on each one.
